How to generate a secure password

A secure password should be at least 16 characters long and contain uppercase, lowercase, numbers and symbols. The generator uses crypto.getRandomValues(), the browser's cryptographically secure API.

Is the password saved?

No. Generation happens entirely in the browser. No password is ever transmitted to our servers, logged or saved in any way.

Why exclude ambiguous characters?

Characters like 0, O, l and 1 look visually similar. Excluding them reduces transcription errors when typing the password by hand.
